Jobbe is married to Theo and in a open relationship. He lived for a number of years in a converted farm in Laren, Gelderland. In 1979 he was placed at the VU to study there. Then everything fell into place. To help others be themselves and make homosexuality more visible, he started working at the COC as a volunteer. Later at the Friday evening parties.

He discovered at that time that he like leather and rubber and that kinky sex is hot. When the COC discussed possibly organizing a kinky party, he immediately signed up to participate. Unfortunately, the COC building was sold and that would mean the end of the learning parties. A group of men, including Jobbe, thought that was a shame and wanted to continue. They continued under the name XXXL with the support of GALA. The are held in the Eagle, Lexicon, The Jan van Galen and Club Church, among others.

In 2026 he join the team of XXX Fetish Amsterdam. After more than 20 years XXX Leather turned into a all fetish party.
